In honor of Veterans Day, fourth-graders at East Broadway Elementary School in the Levittown Public Schools recently discussed and read about the importance of the day, while showing their support for local veterans.
As a way to honor, appreciate and recognize those who made incredible sacrifices for freedom, the students wrote friendly letters to a veteran to thank them for their bravery and service to the country. The letters will be delivered to the Northport VA Medical Center in Northport.
